Deep and elegant, in cool, hazy, soothing shades of indigo, teal, violet, black, grey and royal blue, this watercolor painting sings of stars and snow and tall trees reaching into the sky. The darkness enchants you, like the woods at night. Sometimes beauty is simple and strong.

We have gorgeous, deep dark nights, sparkling stars and snowflakes in abundance here at Studio Moonshadow, and night is our favorite time of day! In the peaceful and silent dark, when the stars seem to explode across the galaxy, and the air is fresh and chill, the forest seems to breathe, and the trees are old friends.

Night Sky And Evergreens is a vertical painting, making it a perfect fit for those tricky but available spaces in modern houses, with open floor plans, and old homes with unusual nooks and hallways. Bring the outside in, and you can lose yourself joyfully in nocturnal, hazy but rich, melting and blending, blue, violet and teal. This is one of those paintings that leads my brain on a color journey.
