We spend so much time making complicated, detailed, beautiful things, but sometimes it feels good to step away from those challenges and simply put the paint on the paper for fun. This heart was painted with cold brushstrokes and plenty of water, directly onto the paper with no drawing, such that the colors would move and blend organically. The innocent, childlike nature of the design is meant to enhance a sense of light-hearted romance.
