Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

Even Camels Get The Blues is a painting in which a seemingly smiling blue camel casts a deep shadow over a blue desert landscape. It was fun to paint, and fun is good. I think it conveys a peaceful feeling. The camel is content. Who doesn't need a tiny blue camel in their art collection?
*****
Even Camels Get The Blues is a postcard sized study I did in preparation for painting a camel in another piece I was planning. Camels are really quite oddly shaped critters, and I wanted to make sure I could draw them before I delved into something more complicated. My line of reasoning was; If a camel that is not camel colored can still be recognized as a camel, then the drawing works, at least to that extent. And anyway, painting it was fun.

I was preparing to make an artwork based on the following poem:
Untitled, Poem 24
Camels love chocolate and caramel
Camels get warm with candles
Can camels go to a chocolate factory?

Beverley Harper Tinsley

To me, making art is about the stopping of time, as are so many of the things I most love doing. I don't believe in time as we know it. When I become engaged in creating something, I no longer feel subject to time's constricting whims. That is why I am driven to create. I love the light touch and thrilling chemistry of watercolor painting, the bold strokes possible in pastel work, the patterns I can create with an ink drawing, and learning something new, always. Color thrills me. Texture delights. I hope with each work to retain the clarity of what I see, and bring that into view for others. I may not always achieve that, but the honest desire is present in each of my pieces. For those who enjoy facts; I am a signature member of...
