Artist's Description
Original is priced as matted and framed. This glamorous showgirl knows how to party. The fabulous, exotic looking, costumed model who posed for me contributed to the sense that we had gone back in time to the bordello, to paint with Toulouse Lautrec himself. I expected her to break out into the can-can at any moment. The festive atmosphere made for a celebratory painting experience, and I feel that sense of joie de vivre comes through in the finished piece.

This original painting is available as matted and framed. It will be on display at The Denver Athletic Club, 1325 Glenarm Place, Downtown Denver. The opening reception is Friday, February 1st, 2013 from 6-8 pm, on the 2nd and 4th floors. All are welcome!
About Beverley Harper Tinsley
To me, making art is about the stopping of time, as are so many of the things I most love doing. I don't believe in time as we know it. When I become engaged in creating something, I no longer feel subject to time's constricting whims. That is why I am driven to create. I love the light touch and thrilling chemistry of watercolor painting, the bold strokes possible in pastel work, the patterns I can create with an ink drawing, and learning something new, always. Color thrills me. Texture delights. I hope with each work to retain the clarity of what I see, and bring that into view for others.
