Description
Love Of Lilacs
*****
Love Of Lilacs is a charmingly simple floral, watercolor painting celebrating the bumblebee, something so sweet, important, adorable, humble and commonplace, but also crucial to the survival of everything, a pollinator. Here, I have chosen to paint this buzzing, humming insect with a branch of my favorite spring flowers, the beautifully scented lilac, on a crisp white background.
*****
Bumblebees offer the fun challenge of painting texture and a sense of movement, as they inhabit their airy world that is both so small and so large.
