Artist's Description

This piece is priced as matted and framed. Please contact artist for photos of art including framing. I loved watching, and trying to keep up with, the ever-changing sky in Taos, New Mexico, as a storm moved in on this ranch-land meadow. The red of the willow bushes in the foreground perfectly framed the scene. Shadows rippled across the foothills and mountains behind.
*****
Taos is a town in Taos County in the north-central region of New Mexico, incorporated in 1934. As of the 2010 census, its population was 5,716. Other nearby communities include Ranchos de Taos, Cañon, Taos Canyon, Ranchitos, El Prado, and Arroyo Seco. The town is close to Taos Pueblo, the Native American village and tribe from which it takes its name.
*****
Taos is also the county seat of Taos County. The name is also referred to by the nearby ski resort of Taos Ski Valley. The English name Taos derives from the native Taos language meaning "place of red willows".

Color thrills me. Texture delights. I hope with each work to retain the clarity of what I see, and bring that into view for others. I may not always achieve that, but the honest desire is present in each of my pieces. For those who enjoy facts; I am a signature member of...
