Description
Blue Soundscape
*****
Blue Soundscape is a somewhat abstract vision of some of the heavily forested Pacific Northwest island and land areas surrounded by water, with abundant, fragrant evergreen trees and reflections. To me this painting also has the look and feel of aural waves or sound waves, as they are measured and recorded.
*****
I’ve been planning a painting trip to Cannon Beach Oregon, and thinking of the coast got me to dreaming. But I wasn’t quite in the mood, yet, for the lovely grey and moody hues of the northern coast as I usually see it. I wanted blue coolness and a breezy simplicity. Seascape, with calm water or waves, seafoam, distant, hazy vistas, skies filled with clouds or fog, fill me with a sense of infinite possibility that I hope you will also feel.
