Description
Spore Some More
A group of four richly patterned reddish-pink colored mushrooms rises from a vine covered forest floor in this whimsical nature-inspired ink drawing. In this particular case, I developed the drawing shortly after a visit to the annual Telluride mushroom festival, or Shroomfest, in the beautiful mountains of Telluride, Colorado, in celebration of having found my first King Bolete, or Porcini, while on a foray. This abstracted piece of art was created intuitively and in a meditative state, using the methods promoted by Zentangle, and is formally known as a Zia, since it is not entirely abstract.
*****
To paraphrase the official Zentangle site, http://www.zentangle.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=7&Itemid=111.........
Zentangle is a relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns.
*****
We can use it to create beautiful images. It increases focus and creativity, provides artistic satisfaction along with an increased sense of personal well being. The Zentangle method is enjoyed all over this world.
*****
We believe that life is an art form and that our Zentangle method is an elegant metaphor for deliberate artistry in life.
*****
In our Zentangle way, you draw each stroke consciously and deliberately. We are always making "strokes" (thoughts, words, deeds) in our life. By taking Zentangle's inspiration to make each stroke deliberate, you understand how those apparently small and insignificant "strokes" of our moment to moment lives contribute to an overall life pattern.
