Description
About This Work Of Wearable Art
Harmonious Future is a richly colored work of original art featuring a hand painted, magical tree in powerful jewel tines of blue, purple, turquoise and fuschia, with hints of copper. The glowing crown of leaves and gnarled tree trunk give this piece an ethereal, mythical quality. You will enjoy wearing and holding this small and shining treasure. This miniature painting is presented on a vintage domino game piece that I have made into a pendant, a personal and functional work of art.
*****
I have always loved the weight and feel of dominoes in my hand, and enjoy taking the opportunity to repurpose, or upcycle unused objects. Also, the gypsy in me is drawn to, and entertained by, the fortunetelling aspect of the dominoes.
*****
The backside of this one features the numbers 4 and 5. The sides and back have been painted to provide continuity and interest to the design.

Divinatory Meaning for Four / Five
Think not once, but at least twice about what you are about to do, and the
implications of that action. At this time there is a reckless influence on
your life that is affecting your ability to discern. The outcome of actions
must be considered before acting if the people of Earth are to form a
harmonious future. You are not on this Earth alone and every choice you make
affects many other beings.

History
In China, dominoes have long been used for divination and prediction. In the West it is said Romany Gypsies have practised fortune telling with dominoes from the 18th-century to this day. Dominoes provide a convenient and relatively simple means of fortune telling. In the same way that playing-cards and Tarot cards each have an intimately connected divinatory significance, so dominoes with their spotted values have a mystic meaning in divination and fortune telling. Gypsies are said to still practice the ancient art of divination with dominoes.

Positive Intentions
All my domino pendants and magnets are sealed with a gloss varnish, making them water resistant. Each is a completely unique work of art. I have carefully considered the divinatory meaning of the numbers on the backside of each, and filled them with positive intentions, painting as an intuitive process and with mindful energy. These make delightful gifts, both lovely and potentially meaningful, or at least fun. Wearing them may lead to sudden feelings of increased joy or peace!
*****
Practicalities
While these dominoes are moisture resistant, they are not entirely waterproof. To clean your domino, simply wipe down with a dry or damp cloth, and please do not wear it in the shower.

Hi Pamela. Thank you for your kind comments. I do sell these, for $25 each. They look good with the ball chain I include and also worn more like a choker, with a shorter chain or ribbon. This particular domino has just recently sold, but I have many others. I'll be posting more soon, and I also offer them on Etsy at DominoDivaDivine, and locally in COlorado at Shadow Mountain Gallery in Evergreen and Sol Shine in Denver.

How would you sell this one as a jewelry piece Beverly? Is it for purchase?
