Description
Floating Zen
*****
This time I could not resist my constant urge to take it right to the edges and beyond. Jellyfish, plum blossoms, a giraffe-like print pattern and more give this busy but peaceful piece balance and charm. A nature inspired black and white ink drawing done in the method known as tangling, in order to create a piece of art known as a Zentangle. This is my second Zentangle.
*****
To paraphrase the official Zentangle site, http://www.zentangle.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=7&Itemid=111.........
Zentangle is a relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns.
*****
We can use it to create beautiful images. It increases focus and creativity, provides artistic satisfaction along with an increased sense of personal well being. The Zentangle method is enjoyed all over this world.
*****
We believe that life is an art form and that our Zentangle method is an elegant metaphor for deliberate artistry in life.
*****
In our Zentangle way, you draw each stroke consciously and deliberately. We are always making "strokes" (thoughts, words, deeds) in our life. By taking Zentangle's inspiration to make each stroke deliberate, you understand how those apparently small and insignificant "strokes" of our moment to moment lives contribute to an overall life pattern.

Lovely work Beverley. At first glance I thought this was a Lino print. The information that you've included about Zentangling is very interesting, I can see how creating an artwork like this would be calming and meditative. vf

New to this, but it really helps you see patterns and textures and be more aware of them in life.
